Michael Fishman is Principal and Senior Vice President of Fishman&co., the eighth largest real estate brokerage and land development firm in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Active in the industry of commercial and industrial real estate brokerage and development since 1986, Michael was instrumental in securing for the city of Olathe, Kansas the relocation of Foodbrands America, Inc., the largest Industrial Revenue Bond project in the history of Johnson County.
Additionally, he has played a key role in the development of two 100-acre industrial parks and numerous other area commercial, industrial and retail real estate properties.
Currently serving as Chairman of the Olathe Economic Development Council and a member of the Board of Directors of the Olathe Chamber of Commerce, Michael is also Past President of the Commercial and Investment Division of the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors and is a licensed real estate broker for both Kansas and Missouri.
Michael attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1970 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing. He graduated from the University of Missouri Law School in 1973 and is an active member of both the Kansas and the Missouri Bar Associations. A practicing attorney for the past 11 years, Michael previously served as Vice President and General Counsel of Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc., a multi-billion dollar grocery wholesaler until 1986.
With over 20 years experience as a broker, an expert in property development, management and investment, Michael brings to the table a solid understanding of the legal requirements and mandates of corporate real estate. It is this level of depth and experience that our clients have come to expect with every Fishman&co. project and business transaction.
A lifelong resident of the Kansas City metropolitan area, Michael Fishman is married and the father of two adult daughters. He is also a past 10-year member of the Board of Trustee of his religious congregation.
